Concur’s DevCon conference on Thursday October 30th in San Francisco was a great event. LoungeBuddy and Paradine each won a $50,000 investment from Concur. The event was very well run. One of the best travel events I’ve ever attended.

LoungeBuddy wins $50,000 investment.

Paradine wins $50,000 investment.
Steve Singh the CEO of Concur kicked off the event with an inspirational talk about creating the perfect trip for travelers and how Concur as a company is helping improve the overall experience of its 23M business travelers by bringing in new 3rd party products and services via the Concur app platform. Steve’s presentation helped open my mind to the power of a networked platform in the travel industry.
We conducted four Travel Startup Founders Series video interviews and we got to meet at least a dozen travel startups. We believe Travel Startups Incubator will be investing in at least two of the startups we met at the conference.
Nicole and I had the opportunity to have lunch with Madhu Madhusudhanan and Peter Nino the founders of Proxce and Tobi Mac the founder of FlitWays two portfolio companies in Travel Startups Incubator.

Travel Startups Incubator looks forward to continuing to build a relationship with Concur’s development and management team and a special thanks to Chris Ismael, Senior Developer Evangelist at Concur for inviting Travel Startups Incubator to this event. We will be back next year.
